Adele plans to be in the best shape of her life for a run of European gigs this summer.
The Someone Like You singer says she is working out six days a week and eating healthy meals to ensure she is fit for her shows.
And the 35-year-old star said: “I am back at my gym grinding like nobody’s business, I am doing two or three sessions a day.”
But she does allow herself Sundays off, when she indulges in a takeaway and wine.
The London-born star added: “I am only allowing myself to drink on Sundays.”
“But it’s OK, four or five white wine spritzers get me absolutely hammered!”
The pop icon has announced four concerts in a specially built stadium in Munich this summer, an idea she described as “a bit random but still fabulous”.
The shows will take place in an 80,000-capacity open-air venue on August 2, 3, 9 and 10.
It will be the first time she has performed in Europe since her last tour in 2016. Adele revealed that she had not been planning any further shows after her current residency in Las Vegas’s Colosseum.
But she has been enjoying her gym workouts, saying: “I’ve decided that this year I want to get to my peak physical fitness.”
“I did it a few years ago and felt fantastic but I know I can get stronger than that because I got there. Then I got lazy.”
“My back is great. I’ve always had a really bad back.”
“I don’t have an L5 disc any more. I slipped it when I was a teenager and I’ve had constant sciatica for the last 12 years, and that was one of the reasons that I started exercising a lot as well.”
Adele has spoken of how her acclaimed Sin City headline shows helped her to regain confidence and beat nerves on stage.
The singer, who ends her Vegas residency in June, released her last album in 2021.
