BetMGM Casino has selected the Michigan iGaming market as the launching pad for its latest exclusive content, obtained through a partnership with software vendor Boldplay. The new distribution deal allows Boldplay to debut in the U.S. market, and players from the Great Lakes State have the privilege of exclusively playing slots, table games, keno, and scratch titles from the Boldplay portfolio.
The first batch of games, including slots Cyborg City, Toro Bravo, and Gold Metal Ox, is already live at this Michigan casino online. Additional titles from the Boldplay catalog are expected to arrive soon, and the games will be made available in BetMGM’s remaining jurisdictions after the regulatory approval is finalized.
BetMGM’s executive Oliver Bartlett shared his opinion about the new partnering developer via the press release announcing the new deal. Bartlett said that Boldplay has had success on the international scene, and they expect the provider’s content to resonate with U.S. players. Bartlett also said BetMGM will continue to add onto the foundation set with providers like Boldplay and in-house games from Entain, working to create the best online casino experience.
Software vendor Boldplay was established in 2019 and selected Gibraltar as its base of operation. The developer is renowned for engaging games, offering large jackpots and unique bonus spins. Over the past five years, Boldpay has powered multiple online casino lobbies.
One of the standout features that sets Boldplay apart in the market is Boldplay Spins, a captivating twist on bonus spins in which the reels rotate vertically and horizontally, creating a multitude of paylines. Another enticing feature is Boldplay Superpo, the brand’s flagship jackpot, which offers players various bankroll levels and the chance to win big.
The collaboration with BetMGM is a significant milestone for Boldplay, helping it elevate its reputation as an emerging casino game studio with a growing reach in the North American market. And Michigan is the gateway market for the developer.
Vallil Fragoso, Boldplay’s CEO, expressed excitement about the partnership with BetMGM, enabling the developer to make its games available in the U.S. In the press release, Fragoso said that collaborating with a prestigious online casino enables Boldplay’s profile to continue growing in the U.S., and they are looking forward to a successful partnership.
BetMGM’s online casino offers thousands of casino games, with exclusive in-house titles and many no deposit bonus Michigan deals. However, after four straight years as a market leader in Michigan, BetMGM lost its crown in March after FanDuel became the best-performing operator in the Wolverine State in March.
FanDuel generated $57.4 million in revenue, while BetMGM took in $54.6 million in bets. The recruitment of Boldplay as a new supplier of casino games is another step in the offensive to shore up BetMGM’s position in Michigan.
