As summer vacations wrap up, many travelers agree that autumn is the perfect time for exploring, particularly in Europe. With fewer crowds, often lower prices, and more comfortable temperatures for sightseeing, this season offers a unique charm. The warm colors of autumn also enhance the beauty of the landscape, making the experience even more inviting. While the days may be shorter, the evenings can be wonderfully enjoyable.
With autumn approaching, the British Telegraph has compiled a list of European cities ideal for a fall visit, including Dubrovnik, one of Croatia’s most beloved tourist destinations.
Enjoy the Serenity
“With its blue skies, sunshine, and reduced crowds, Dubrovnik is an ideal autumn getaway. Start your day at the market, where you can find mandarins, pomegranates, and dried figs, then stroll through the stunning medieval city walls. To cap off your visit, indulge in a slice of homemade cake at a local pastry shop. If you’re up for an adventure outside the city, head to Pelješac to sample some wine,” states The Telegraph.
They also recommend a trip to Lopud, home to the Lopud 1483 resort. This former Franciscan monastery, dedicated to the Birth of Mary, has been beautifully restored by Baroness Francesca von Habsburg and is now a top destination along the Adriatic coast. The complex also features the Holy Garden.
