Swansea University has been ranked among the top 100 universities in Europe, according to the second edition of the QS World University Rankings: Europe 2025.
This prestigious ranking provides a unique insight into the educational landscape of Europe, aiding students, educators, and researchers in making informed decisions about universities.
Swansea University has achieved an overall ranking of 97th out of 685 institutions in Europe, up six places since 2024.
Citations per paper remains Swansea’s best-performing metric with a rank of 21st in Europe. The University’s work on sustainability has been recognised with a ranking of 37th in Europe and 23rd in the UK. For Employer Reputation, Swansea was ranked 76th in Europe and 25th in the UK.
This latest ranking follows Swansea’s impressive performance in other recent major league tables. In June 2024, Swansea achieved its highest ever ranking of 298th in the QS World University Rankings, along with a global ranking of 80th for sustainability.
Swansea also recently achieved a joint ranking of 65th in the 2024 Times Higher Education (THE) University Impact Rankings.
