Software vendor Wazdan is entering the Wolverine State iGaming market through a partnership with the aggregation platform of Light & Wonder. The first port of call in this new wave of expansion in the North American market is the duo of Michigan online casinos under the banner of Caesars Entertainment.
The popular operator also confirmed the arrival of a new game supplier via its official X page, emphasizing that Michigan players can enjoy a batch of 4 Wazdan slots. These games are simultaneously launched in the lobbies of Caesars Palace Online Casino and Caesars Sportsbook & Casino. The new games include Magic Spins, 9 Coins, Grand Gold Edition and Hot Slot 777 Crown.
The head of Account Management for North America at Wazdan, Izabela Slodkowska-Popiel, said in the official press release that Wazdan’s entry into Michigan is a testament to the strength of this developer’s dynamic portfolio. The intent is to gain further momentum in the North American market.
According to Slodkowska-Popiel, the opportunity to launch its portfolio in Michigan through a renowned operator such as Caesars will help the software vendor to stay on its trajectory and capture this exciting market.
Wazdan’s catalog of mechanics, such as Hold the Jackpot, Sticky to Infinity, and Cash Infinity are now exclusively accessible to Michigan players, according to the distribution agreement.
Wazdan has been active in the iGaming industry for over 12 years and has a footprint in over 25 markets. The provider holds over 28 iGaming licenses including a certificate issued by the Michigan Gambling Control Board. Over 1500 online casinos around the globe offer Wazdan games, and the portfolio includes over 200 games with a mobile-first design in mind.
The innovation demonstrated by Wazdan has been recognized with multiple awards, such as the Best Online Casino Provider in the Nordics 2024, Provider of the Year 2023 at the Streamers Awards, Best iGaming Product in 2023 – Mystery Drop at the European iGaming Excellence Awards.
Caesars hasn’t had much success in the iGaming realm compared to its sports betting operation, with its online casino currently ranking as the 5th largest operator in the Great Lakes market. Caesars Palace Online Casino was announced in August 2023 as a standalone iGaming product, but it’s still lagging behind competitors such as BetMGM, FanDuel, DraftKings, and BetRivers.
The company will add another casino app in Michigan after it was announced that WynnBET Casino will be rebranded as Horseshoe Online Casino by the end of 2024. This move comes after Caesars bought WynnBet’s Michigan iGaming license in February.
The inclusion of Wazdan slots is another step in the operator’s strategy to bolster its market position. Great Lake State’s players can enjoy engaging casino games and generous Michigan online casino promotions on both platforms and soon on its third online gambling brand.
