Hollie Doyle brought up a 1,000th career win with victory aboard Leyhaimur at Goodwood.
The 27-year-old is only the second British female jockey to reach the landmark after Hayley Turner achieved the feat last year.
Doyle scored on the David Simcock-trained Leyhaimur, having earlier won with Almaty Star for Robert Cowell.
“Never when I started off my career did I imagine I would ride this many winners,” Doyle told Racing TV.
“Now all I can think about is the next thousand.”
Doyle registered her first success 11 years ago and broke the annual record for winners ridden by a female jockey in 2019 by chalking up 116 triumphs.
In 2020 she was named Sunday Times Sportswoman of the Year and came third in the BBC Sports Personality award after a string of successes, including riding five winners at one Windsor meeting.
Last month Doyle secured her ninth top-level European Group One win, aboard Bradsell in the Nunthorpe Stakes at York.
