Yggdrasil, a leading igaming publisher, has added Barcelona-based studio BitPunch to its portfolio of YGG Masters partners.
Through the YGG Masters programme, BitPunch will craft high-quality games that appeal to both experienced slot players and casual gamers in key regulated markets worldwide.
The studio, which comes under the Spinart umbrella, creators of Peter & Sons, will look to design games with engaging themes, stunning visuals, and innovative mechanics to create games that players love – experiences that are fresh, exciting and built to stand out.
The first YGG Masters title from BitPunch, Killroad 66, will be released in January 2025 and will allow players to experience the thrill of the road as biker gangs race for fortune across the open desert.
The new partnership further enhances Yggdrasil’s dynamic offering of third-party content with the YGG Masters programme, empowering the world’s leading independent game studios to design and distribute great titles via the provider’s technology and network.
The initiative has seen the creation of some of Yggdrasil’s best-performing titles over the last few years, with partners also able to utilise the provider’s popular Game Engagement Mechanics (GEMs).
Jose Simon, commercial director at Yggdrasil, said: “We are extremely excited to welcome BitPunch into the YGG Masters family. We have great confidence that its talented team will deliver some top-quality content, starting with Killroad 66!
“This is the start of an exciting chapter for Yggdrasil as we focus on expanding our YGG Masters portfolio globally across all gaming verticals over the next year, and the addition of BitPunch is just the beginning of this process.”
Mitri Wiberg, co-CEO at BitPunch, said: “We are keen to follow in the footsteps of other hugely successful studios, such as Peter & Sons, who have thrived under the YGG Masters programme. This is just the beginning of what promises to be a very exciting journey.”
